Unique works of art  created  through the silkscreen monoprint format.

In this series of mono prints Lara's  primary focus is on colour and spontaneous experimentation with the process of screenprinting. Variations are achieved through altering the structure of the images and using one- off marks to create texture, while the unity and coherence of the series is established through the use of resonant colour and composition.

SCREENPRINTINGarrow
Using traditional techniques Lara hand produces original limited edition screenprints. All the inks are individually mixed and each colour is put down separately. As each colour goes down and overlaps another, the surface of the paper builds to give texture and a subtle three-dimensional element to the image. Printing onto high quality 100% cotton, acid free, mould-made, Somerset paper and using high-pigmented inks, Lara achieves the rich, pure colour that is essential to her image-making.

GICLÉE PRINTING

A giclée (pronounced jeeclay)  is a high resolution digital print made from the best light fast pigmented inks and printed onto high quality 100% cotton, acid free, mould-made, Somerset paper.

Lara creates  her images by combining digital skills with traditional printmaking techniques. Hand drawn and painted textures are scanned into the computer and a digital creative process begins. Once the image has been realised  Lara works closely with a printer  to create final image.
